Weekly Drop 6/10/25

I'm loving this week and hope that you love it too!!

We have Mr. John Alvin's original art from The Goonies in screenprint form, it's such a treat. And we immediately sold out of David Lynch's The Art Life chirashi as soon as it dropped. So as an interstellar replacement, we have Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey in Japanese Chirashi. What a week!!!

The Goonies (regular 2021) by John Alvin

The man responsible for many a Disney film poster and posters for directors like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Blake Edwards, Mel Brooks and Ridley Scott is whose iconic Goonies print we have here today.

This print has same art as the original (thanks to his wife and estate), but uses text from another Goonies poster of his creation and is reimagined with the graphics and layout. The result? Pure nostalgic gold. I think I'll go watch it right now.

The Goonies (art print 2021) by John Alvin

For those of us who prefer the minimalist version in a clean form, this art print is right up your alley. I love that it incorporates the O.G. map from the attic, starting the whole adventure that we've been happily swept up along in. Among Steven Spielberg's movies, this is truly one of his best.

2001: A Space Odyssey Japanese Chirashi

We're so lucky to have this original small bill from the Japanese release of Stanley Kubrick's old-school A.I. in control in the void of space.

Is evolution depicted in this ground-breaking film of this boundary pusher, or is evolution being informed by it? You choose...Or will HAL?
